Mr.Sergey Silvanskiy, Pianist, was born in Kharkov former USSR /now Ukraine/. He began his musical studies at the age of six, giving his first public performance at the age of eight. Mr. Sergey Sylvanskiy undergraduated Kiev Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, where he studied with Professor Vsevolod Topilin, Chief of Piano Department, pupil of G.Neihaus and K.Igumnov and received his Ph.D under the guidance famous pianist and teacher Professor of Moscow Conservatory Yakov Flier. In 1974 Sergey Sylvanskiy received an appointment to the faculties of piano and chamber music in Kiev Tchaikovsky Conservatory where he taught until immigrating to the United States in 1993. While in the Soviet Union, his career as an outstanding chamber music performer took him regularly to the concert trips and festivals throughout USSR and abroad. He cooperated with wonderful musicians, winners of many prestigious International Competitions like Mikhail Bezwerhny, Anatoly Melnikov, Alex Gorohov and many more. They performed in prestigious Halls of Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, Riga, Tallinn, Alma Ata…. Mr. Sergey Silvanskiy has numerous recordings on Ukrainian Radio and TV. In USA Sergey Silvanskiy consists Teaching and Performing. His piano class in Los Angeles is both large and successful; his studens won some prestigious International Competitions like F. Busoni in Bolzano, Italy, M. Argerich in Buenos-Aires, Argentina, International Competition in Massa, Italy, F.Chopin International Competition for young musicians and ctr. As a performer he has given numerous recitals in Los Angeles with such violinists like Judith Alert, Arnold Belnick, Daniel Shenderiev. As well with Daniel Shenderiev he performed in San Francisco, Solt Lake City, New York. In 1995 he had make the CD with Arnold Belnick/ Sonatas and Partite for violin and piano by Grazyna Bacewicz./ Currently Mr. Silvanskiy lives with his family in Los Angeles. |
